Total Exploration-Production, partner of AI Pau Festival

The DataLab, which manages all of Total's geoscience data from the CSTJF site, is partner of the Artificial Intelligence Festival, AI Pau, 3rd Edition. The 100% digital event is open to everyone from December 4 to 6, 2020. 
 

 

Local event, national impact

The AI Pau's objective is to gather all the artificial intelligence players in France to discuss about technology and its challenges. 
Artificial Intelligence being one of the tools used by the Group to achieve operational excellence, especially through the optimization of all of its data, Total spontaneously comes up as a partner. And, once again, through this partnership, Total proves commitment as a major player in innovation and digital.
It also highlights its historical territorial leverage in Pau and Béarn, as well as its responsibility in supporting young people in sectors for the future.

This year, focus will be on two topics:

• AI AND ENVIRONMENT
• AI AND SOCIEY 

Several conferences and round tables will illustrate these topics with eminent contributions.

« Data Challenge » is the hackaton the Students are invited to by AI Pau. 
They are asked to address their projects to the four local companies’ challenges through the prism of artificial intelligence.

The most eco-responsible team will be rewarded by the Nouvelle Aquitaine Region, partner of the Jury’s Special Prize.

 About the DataLab

Total, as a multi-energy group, manages a large quantity of documents and data which requires analysis and capitalization in order to extract its full value.

This is all about DataLab, a collaborative project resulting from an internal initiative. 
Fifteen members from several entities, one common goal: to offer Data Management solutions.
How? By using innovative technologies such as AI, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, semantic analysis, …as well as numerous algorithms to process and qualify a huge quantity of data.
