e-py awards: an evening under the banner of sustainable innovation

The partnership between TotalEnergies and the e-py awards is part of a keen desire to showcase local innovation and strengthen ties with the Béarn region. By sponsoring the "Energy transition & renewable energies" category, TotalEnergies is particularly keen to train the spotlight on local stakeholders actively involved in the energy transition.

Every two years the e-py awards, organized by Pyrénées Presse, reward innovative regional initiatives. Through its support for the initiative, TotalEnergies is involved not just as a sponsor but as a loyal and committed partner.

The "Energy transition & renewable energies" category features local initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable energy future. It rewards innovative projects created by regional companies, communities or associations that work to reduce emissions, increase energy efficiency, or develop renewable energies.

On Thursday June 26, the Palais Beaumont in Pau was thrang with the plethora of projects and local initiatives competing in the various categories of the 2025 edition of the e-py awards.

One of the highlights of the evening was when Mélanie Plainchault, Head of the Digital Research and Development Department at TotalEnergies, gave the "Energy transition & renewable energies" award to Guy-William Pivot, project lead for "Bo Borne" by éleXtra: an innovative charging point for electric vehicles that can supply power to a house once the car has been recharged. The symbolic gesture was a perfect illustration of TotalEnergies’ commitment to encourage smart, sustainable energy solutions.

"TotalEnergies is an innovative and pioneering company that uses high-performance numerical solutions for its needs and to create services that ultimately concern us all. Supporting these awards gives us an opportunity to talk about our experience, connect with local partners and showcase those who are actively involved," explains Mélanie Plainchault, who  congratulated the prize winners.

An event enhanced by well-known speakers

A national dimension was added to this edition by the presence of leading figures in the digital world. Fabienne Arata-Camps, Managing Director of LinkedIn France, who underlined Pau’s professional appeal and the role of LinkedIn in supporting mobilities and economic opportunities. She reminded the audience that Pau is one of the most dynamic cities in France when it comes to professional mobility.

Benoît Tabaka, Secretary General of Google France spoke to Christophe Galichon, Managing Director of Pyrénées Presse during the round table discussion on artificial intelligence.
