L’Industreet, a real training opportunity for young people from all over France

Since 2024 and the creation of Villastreet, it has been much easier for students from all over France to train at L’Industreet in the Paris region. The student residence on the campus in Stains has lifted a major obstacle – that of accommodation. It is open to young people from all over France, including from the region of Béarn.

The education and professional inclusion of young people is one of TotalEnergies Foundation’s flagship areas of action. It is behind L’Industreet, a campus for industrial professions of the future aimed at unemployed young people, with or without qualifications, to help them enter the world of work.

Five years after it was inaugurated on March 1, 2021, the Qualiopi-certified training center goes on to confirm just how strong its model is: free, practical, certifying training designed to meet the needs of young people and those of an industrial sector constantly seeking to hire.

A successful initiative in aid of employment for young people

In 2026, L’Industreet celebrated its fifth anniversary with its teams and partners, and with a great many alumni who came to share their experience and highlight all the benefits of the course

The goal of L’Industreet is to help all students, aged 18 to 29, whatever their gender, to access employment in a sector where employability is high. Since it was created, the campus has welcomed young people for free, without any need for prior qualifications, offering them training in highly sought-after industrial professions. It carries a simple promise: “1 young person = 1 job”.

The aim is not to provide training for a single employer, but to meet real needs for skills in the industrial sector. This is what makes L’Industreet a public interest project, turned toward sustainable professional inclusion.

In five years, 1,700 young people have studied at L’Industreet, 430 of which were accepted in 2025. At the end of their course, 85% of students sign a long-term contract or continue their studies. Since the campus opened its doors, nearly 700 young people have graduated with a success rate of 98% and a positive exit rate of 79%! It is also worth noting that more than half of the students are offered a job at the end of their internship.

These results give real substance and form to the campus’ ambition, which is to provide an effective solution to young people who are trying to find their path in life, while promoting highly sought-after professions.

A model accessible to all young people from all over France

L’Industreet currently provides nine training courses in three industrial sectors – digital, production, energy and services – for professions with a high vacancy rate where the need to hire personnel is constant.

In this framework, teaching methods are based on “learning by doing”: a tangible, practical approach that enables the students to acquire both technical skills and soft skills that are essential for professional inclusion. Each student benefits from tailored support in an environment that rewards individual progress and gives them confidence in their abilities.

It is a purposefully open model. The campus is open to all young people without qualifications, from all types of backgrounds, and admissions are possible all year round. The criteria are primarily based on the students’ motivation, their desire to learn, and their interest in industrial professions. It is aimed at young people struggling to find the right career path and also offers a concrete alternative to those who did not manage to fit into standard courses.

With more than 200,000 job vacancies in the industry in France, this approach takes on all its meaning. L’Industreet offers a tangible solution to the challenges of career choice and access to employment, and contributes to raising the image of these professions and opening these sectors to a wider audience, women in particular.

“With the inauguration of Villastreet and its 74 studio apartments in 2024, the TotalEnergies campus stepped up its capacity to welcome young people from all over France. In other words, the issue of accommodation, which is often decisive when choosing a course far from home, is no longer such an obstacle. Industrial professions are also under pressure in Béarn, and being able to access free, certifying training in an innovative sector that is changing with robotics and digital technologies... is a real opportunity. We have our heart set on making our local partners aware of this,”concludes Isabelle Porterie, Head of External Relations at the Pau Site.
