Patronage: Championing local associations at TotalEnergies in Pau

The community of winning partners of the local JIMP'ACT call for projects, supported by the TotalEnergies Foundation, came together to celebrate its new members. The JIMP'ACT initiative supports local associations committed to inclusion, young people and social harmony. Since 2020, winners have been encouraged to develop synergies across the region, and to "create alliances", essential for solidarity and key to the Company’s ethos.

A call for projects with strong local roots

We firmly believe that young people are the future of our regions and the key to making them thrive. One way to help young people unlock their potential, take their future into their own hands, and play a fundamental role in society, is to support the innovative projects of our local partners. That’s why we invited organizations eligible for sponsorship in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Landes, and Hautes-Pyrénées departments to participate in the JIMP'ACT call for projects. Launched at the start of the year, this initiative is fully aligned with TotalEnergies' societal commitments in the region. Proposed by the CSTJF and PERL teams, the scheme aims to support meaningful community projects, in line with the Company’s values and local priorities, while prioritizing vulnerable young people.

Careful selection process

The associations were asked to propose initiatives that promote equal opportunities through education, guidance, training and professional integration, whose beneficiaries are young people (aged 12-25), particularly those who are disengaged from school and employment.

After reviewing the applications submitted via the dedicated platform, several projects were shortlisted by the internal selection committee, made up of pairs of employees from the CSTJF and PERL, who were all highly motivated to uncover the next set of finalists. A jury composed of internal and external personalities selected two winners from the morning session when finalists pitched their projects.

On November 1, 2025, the associations gathered to enjoy the friendly and welcoming atmosphere in one of the boxes at the Stade du Hameau rugby stadium during the match between Section Paloise and USA Perpignan. In turn, they each presented their missions, challenges and projects to Jérôme Poncet, Head of the TotalEnergies Site in Pau. They also got the chance to meet Théo Attisogbe, Junior World Champion in 2023 with the French U20 team and wing/fullback for Section Paloise, who kindly agreed to pose for selfies.

The AJIR and E2C Ecole de la Deuxième Chance associations enjoyed their first experience of this group, created in 2020. Representatives were also present from Pistes Solidaires, Rebonds, UDAF 65 and Parcours Jeunes (Lacq Odyssée and MJC Berlioz had obligations elsewhere).

This special event helped foster ties between the associations in a friendly setting, reflecting TotalEnergies’ strong local roots.

"Associations that help young people realize their full potential are at the heart of the support provided by the TotalEnergies Foundation. Being a partner is not only about funding, but also the commitment of employees through the Action! program, as well as local support. Of course, the local partner community works closely with the partner community of the TotalEnergies Foundation. It’s very rewarding both for them and us," says Isabelle Porterie, Head of External Relations at TotalEnergies’ Pau site.
