Join Action! the global solidarity program
- Being a local player is about contributing to the local fabric at all levels and building a strong, united relationship with the immediate environment.
- At local level, TotalEnergies is involved in various solidarity actions to foster the “creating partnerships” dynamic, to support and deploy projects.
- Action! the global volunteer program, allows employees to participate in public interest initiatives during their working hours.
The Action! program gives structures that are eligible for sponsorship, and which meet the different criteria, the opportunity to propose “missions” to employees, i.e. activities that meet a public interest need.
With this program, introduced by the TotalEnergies site in Pau in 2019, and now deployed in over 100 countries, employees can volunteer to support local (i.e. close to their work environment) general interest projects during their working hours for up to three days a year.
Why? Because on the one hand, we want to work with you to support your operational activities and, in doing so, your beneficiaries, and on the other, encourage our employees to invest in positive impact initiatives.
Why become a program partner?
By joining Action!, you will have the opportunity to:
- Find motivated volunteers, available during weekdays, to carry out your solidarity missions.
- Benefit from the support and expertise of TotalEnergies and its employees on missions related to professional competencies.
- Reinforce the impact of your actions, make your association and its projects known, and create synergies with other partners by participating for example in the associations’ forum organized on the CSTJF site in Pau.
What are our areas of intervention?
In reference to TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation and with young people as the common denominator, we focus our efforts on four areas consistent with our values and essential to the vitality of our regions:
- Young people’s education and inclusion: to fight unemployment and insecurity that affect many young people throughout the world (for example, mentoring or educational support missions with the Parcours jeunes association in Pau).
- Road safety: as road accidents are the leading cause of death among young people (for example awareness-raising missions with the Pyrénées Atlantiques Road Safety association).
- Climate and the environment: to heighten awareness of and tackle environmental challenges (for example missions with the CEN, Natural Environment Conservatory in Nouvelle-Aquitaine).
- Culture and heritage dialogue: to promote cultural wealth and diversity (for example, missions with the ACP - Les Amis de la Chanson Populaire in Pau).
In addition to these four main areas, there are “favorites” that enable associations like the Béarn and Soule foodbank to request volunteers to help with food collections.
