TotalEnergies and Section Paloise rugby club: renewed loyalty and the launch of the HonhaCamp building project

On 12 December 2025, TotalEnergies and the Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées rugby club officially extended their partnership until 2032, confirming a historic and ambitious collaboration driven by a shared attachment to the Béarn region. The foundations of the rugby team’s future performance and training centre were also laid last Friday at the Stade du Hameau. Partially funded by TotalEnergies, the building, aptly named “HonhaCamp – TotalEnergies”, has been designed to reflect the club’s values while serving as a place of work, commitment and transmission.

A historic partnership to support the Béarn region and young people

For nearly forty years, TotalEnergies and Section Paloise have maintained a special relationship, forged by a passion for rugby and a strong attachment to the Béarn region. Launched in 1988 and displayed on the club’s jersey since 1997, this partnership has gone from strength to strength over the seasons, becoming a real symbol of the Company’s regional roots.

In Pau, TotalEnergies brings together over 2,500 employees at the Jean Féger Scientific and Technical Centre (CSTJF), a hub of excellence in multi-energy expertise and research which contributes to the region’s economic vitality. The Company is also still present in the Lacq gas basin with SOBEGI, bioBéarn (biogas production) and numerous solar panel systems installed on old industrial sites. Over the years, the Company’s ties with Section Paloise have continuously strengthened, particularly with the club’s rise to the Top 14 in 2015, consecrating TotalEnergies as a key partner.

These strong links take on all their meaning in the many joint actions undertaken on a daily basis, particularly in terms of training: nearly 3,000 young registered members and their coaches are invited to matches every season, alongside volunteers and managers from various clubs. Around fifty of the region’s rugby clubs receive funding each year thanks to the “En Vert et pour Tous” (Green for All) operation.

"It was a real pleasure and proud moment for me to witness the renewal of the partnership between TotalEnergies and Section Paloise, as well as the laying of the foundations of the HonhaCamp – TotalEnergies building. This was a particularly special moment for me, as the representative of CSTJF staff – passionate employees who are deeply attached to their favourite club, true fans who have supported Section Paloise for decades. This event highlights the Company’s long-lasting commitments to Pau and the region’s dynamism."

The fact that the partnership has been extended until 2032 stands as a testimony to the faith and loyalty which unite TotalEnergies and Section Paloise, two key players deeply rooted in the Béarn region.

HonhaCamp – TotalEnergies: laying the cornerstone for the future of rugby in Pau

Laying the cornerstone of the HonhaCamp – TotalEnergies building also marks a new step in this joint adventure. This performance centre epitomises the values shared by the club and company, namely teamwork, solidarity, transmission and commitment. The 3,000 m² building, equipped with a covered synthetic turf pitch, a reinforced natural training pitch and a restaurant, will open its doors in September 2026. It will become a place where rugby players, coaches and the entire Béarn rugby community can work, train and get together.

Through this renewed partnership and the construction of HonhaCamp, TotalEnergies and Section Paloise confirm their common desire to build the rugby of the future in Pau, to support young people and showcase the Béarn region through a shared dynamism promoting performance and solidarity.
