The TotalEnergies Foundation is firmly committed to promoting equal opportunities and social inclusion, and supports initiatives that help 100,000 young people each year. In 2026, its new national call for projects offers associations the opportunity to reach new heights and build on their efforts in the long term.
In France, the TotalEnergies Foundation implements a strategy focused on young people, particularly the most vulnerable, through public interest initiatives structured around specific and relevant areas of intervention. Its strategy is founded on solid partnerships – TotalEnergies Foundation works with a hundred or so partner associations across France each year, selected for their impact and capacity to meet the Foundation’s principles of action. This clear strategy, deeply rooted in the country’s needs, is structured around four priority areas: Education & Inclusion, Road Safety, Climate & Coastal Protection and Cultural Dialogue & Heritage. One of the methods used by the Foundation to identify and showcase meaningful, high-impact initiatives is a national call for projects in all regions of France.
"At TotalEnergies, we firmly believe that all young people have a role to play in the vitality of a nation. That is why our Foundation supports initiatives which ‘open doors’ to socially and/or academically vulnerable young people. The call for projects we are launching this year seeks to identify initiatives that create growth throughout metropolitan France and French overseas territories, where stakeholders know the realities of local life, as well as the needs and means to take concrete action for youth", states Jacques-Emmanuel Saulnier, General Delegate for the TotalEnergies Foundation.
2026 hails a new call for projects, offering associations the opportunity to build upon their initiatives and extend their impact. It is intended for organisations with a public interest project that is already operational and has proven its effectiveness. The Foundation is looking for initiatives – preferably innovative ones – that can be scaled up and make a real difference to the daily lives of 12-to-25-year-olds on topics such as school dropout prevention, success in education, integration into work life, coastal protection and biodiversity, road safety, art and culture. Projects geared towards young refugees or those with disabilities can include beneficiaries aged up to 30. And for the first time, applicants can present projects tackling school dropout prevention for 8-to-12-year-olds.
For our region, with its rich community spirit and commitment to young people, this is a wonderful opportunity to bring to light projects that are already well established locally and ready to take the next step. In Pau, Béarn and throughout the Southwest, numerous associations work daily to provide solutions for the most disadvantaged young people. This call for projects offers them the opportunity to access structured support over a three-year period, to extend their activities and reinforce their impact.
"TotalEnergies has a special attachment to Pau and its region, due to a long shared industrial and social history. We want to spread the word about our Foundation’s call for projects so that local public interest organisations can join its community of partners. Regional commitment is not just a strategic choice, it‘s a responsibility. It helps create long-term partnerships, strengthen social cohesion and give every young person – wherever they live – the means to build their future", concludes Isabelle Porterie, Head of External Relations at TotalEnergies Pau.
