For more than 15 years, Claire Channellière, Metocean specialist, has been putting her scientific expertise at the service of TotalEnergies’ projects. Her job consists in analysing meterological and oceanographic conditions—wind, waves and currents - to help the Company design installations adapted to their environment and ensure their safety.
Drawn to the sea from an early age, Claire discovered ISITV engineering school in Toulon (now SeaTech) during her preparatory classes. At the time it was one of the few engineering schools in France to offer, from the first year, a curriculum in physical oceanography and meteorology. A decisive choice, driven by passion, that shaped her professional career.
Today, her expertise helps provide TotalEnergies’ projects with reliable, long term data, essential for designing efficient and sustainable infrastructures, illustrating the key role of science in the Company’s multi energy activities.
