On Tuesday November 19, TotalEnergies Foundation invited its community of over 130 associative partners to spend the day at the Communale, in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine. The event brought together players in the social and solidarity economy (SSE) from different regions, all united by their commitment to young people - in particular the most vulnerable - in keeping with the TotalEnergies Foundation’s mission. The operation was an opportunity to welcome the winners of the latest national call for partners issued by TotalEnergies Foundation.
Of the 112 partners present, representing some 80 structures, the associations Rebonds, Parcours Jeunes, UDAF65 and Drop de Béton under a sponsorship agreement and also partners of the TotalEnergies site in Pau, were also able to attend.
Jacques-Emmanuel Saulnier, General Delegate of TotalEnergies Foundation, reiterated the commitment underpinning the day, co-constructed on the basis of consultation with the team and the partners. The intention was to alternate periods for discussion with workshops and plenary sessions led by particularly inspiring speakers. Though "health" is not one of the priority areas of TotalEnergies Foundation, the organizers decided to end the day by focusing on the topic of young people’s mental health. Young people are the guideline for all the Foundation’s philanthropic actions, and that goes for all its partners too. As head of the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Henri-Laborit Hospital in Poitiers - a national reference in France - he gave the broad outlines of how young people’s mental health is affected today, in particular with the constant and persistent flow of digital information.

“It’s a very intensive, thriving event, full of meetings and powerful sharing of experience, with workshops tailored as closely as possible to participants’ interests and daily activities. The day was followed by a highly convivial evening on site and gave our associations in Pau and Tarbes the opportunity for total immersion in the community of partners of a major Foundation. Everyone leaves here feeling re-energized!" enthused Isabelle Porterie, Head of External Relations at the Pau Site and in charge of sponsorship.
“The day in Paris was very interesting - a real opportunity for discussion and sharing. The relevance of the topics covered shows just how closely the TotalEnergies Foundation is involved in the issues facing its territories, by supporting associations working with young people in difficulty." confirms Florence Delorme, who represented the Pau-based association Parcours Jeunes, which offers free, individual tutoring and support to middle-school students.
