Our employees tell us about their missions as volunteers
Whatever their profession, our employees always gain positive experience from their individual or group missions with our partner associations.
Because every employee is also a citizen aware of social issues, they must be able, if they so wish, to take action alongside the partners of the TotalEnergies Foundation. The Action! Program gives employees the time and means to do so. All employees have the opportunity to dedicate up to three of their working days per year to solidarity missions close to their place of work.
If you are a civil society structure focused on public interest initiatives, the Action! platform was specifically created to put you in touch with our employees at the CSTJF and the PERL. Associations in South West France can publish missions there and TotalEnergies employees can volunteer according to their skills or interests.
Despite the health restrictions, TotalEnergies employees in South West France have shown increasing commitment thanks to the development of missions in digital format: + 50% participation in solidarity initiatives compared to figures in 2020!
The range of missions available is very varied. The Elles bougent association proposes sponsorship actions. The MJC des Fleurs is looking for employees who can come and give presentations on their profession and their areas of expertise to members of the Job Social Club des Fleurs, a job-seekers’ network. The Organisme de Gestion des Foyers Amitiés (OGFA) asked a communication specialist at the CSTJF to run an audit of their digital tools.
Hundreds of employees from Béarn take part in waste collection and renaturation actions with the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels d'Aquitaine or with Anim'Ousse-Ere in Pau, Arthez de Béarn, Ger or Lembeye. Our teams also helped the French National Forestry Office to re-open trails through the forest in Pau.
Other employees lent a hand to the AJIR association to relocate its outreach grocery store. Employees from the CSTJF got involved in organizing the Été à Pau event, led by the Amis de la Chanson Populaire, or the Hestiv’Oc festival with Accent du Sud or the Festival de Siros with Siros Bouts Dou Biarn. The Comité 64 of the Road Safety association found volunteers to accompany a campaign to raise awareness among young people from the CFA BTP (a training center for professions in the construction industry) in Pau. Each year, the Cravate Solidaire motivates around twenty employees from Béarn to take part in its "coup de pouce" workshops for jobseekers. The annual collection for the Banque Alimentaire Béarn and Soule is also a solidarity operation under the Action! program, which includes many TotalEnergies volunteers.
