Focus On

TotalEnergies sponsor of the Tour Féminin International des Pyrénées (TFIP)

The Company has been supporting the organizers of this women’s cycling race since its inception in 2021, with the aim of contributing to its goal: making this event a major fixture on the international women’s calendar.

This sporting discipline echoes our involvement in high-level cycling through the TotalEnergies Pro Cycling Team, which we see in the Tour de France. Naturally, we are committed to participating in a sporting event that takes place in our territory, to which we have a deep attachment.

This is not the only issue. TotalEnergies is a partner of the Lons Section Paloise Women’s Rugby and its commitment to the TFIP is in the same vein: contributing to the rise of women’s high-level sports. Supporting women’s sports is an investment in equality, health, empowerment, leadership, and inspiration, particularly by highlighting athletes.

The challenging events of the TFIP represent solid preparation for cycling deadlines such as national championships, the women’s Giro, and the Women’s Tour de France. They also inspire vocations… TotalEnergies has chosen to sponsor the "Best Young Rider" jersey because youth is a subject that is particularly close to the Company’s heart for many reasons, the main one being that youth is one of the keys to the success of the energy transition.

Supporting the most prestigious international competitions is also an opportunity to test the fuels and lubricants formulated by the research department at TotalEnergies, in the most extreme conditions of use.  Synonymous with performance, quality and reliability, they contribute to the success of many motor racing partners. The range of highly-technical products, that demonstrate their energy efficiency, are developed for car racing teams and also for all consumers when they are released onto the market.

TotalEnergies is a long-standing partner of world motorsports and is proud to support the oldest city race in France. And so every year, for more than 30 years, TotalEnergies has been present alongside the city of Pau to give its support to the legendary Grand Prix. After two blank years owing to the COVID health crisis, it is with great pride and pleasure that the Pau Grand Prix is back on the starting grid in 2022, at the heart of the city of Pau, under a brand-new name: the Pau Motors Festival! This edition is a watershed moment for the event, which has become an ultramodern showcase for innovation and the new challenges of sustainable mobility. Against the backdrop of this change in format, toward a Grand Prix using new energies, TotalEnergies continues to support this unmissable event in the life of Pau, since 1933. With the vehicles on display: the Lion Truck Racing HVO10 and the Mission H24 Le Mans Hydrogène as well as in show car: the Peugeot P9x9 and the Formule E DS, our team presents the innovations available in terms of electric propulsion, hydrogen solutions and new fuels as well as innovative compounds and materials.
