DEVELOPPING ALTERNATIVE TECHNIQUES FOR WELL MEASUREMENTS WITH THE TEP ALTERNATIVE SUBSURFACE DATA CENTER

Our TEP ASD (Total E&P Alternative Subsurface Data) affiliate was created in 2015 and is located just a stone’s throw away from the CSTJF. It is the first link in the well data acquisition chain.
The measurement center offers calibration and certification services for academia and the industry, working in oil and gas and in other similar sectors, such as geothermal energy, mining and hydrogeology.

At the heart of this center, an experimental analysis platform houses silos that store rocks, fluids and metals for calibrating the logging probes used in oil and gas reservoir measurements.
These meticulously characterized rocks and predetermined standards are stored in 9-meter-high towers.
Because it can emulate a wide variety of drilling conditions and different types of rocks, porosities, cements and casing architectures, this platform makes it possible to calibrate and certify all kinds of logging probes for use in a wide variety of known conditions.

A unique innovative and economic offer

This is a novel approach as no other oil & gas company offers this type of service. Only a few international service companies have their own centers and they are for their own exclusive use.
TEP ASP is unique in that it markets a calibration service open to all.

Specialized logging companies can come to the center, characterize and develop their logging tools, and adapt them for use in different types of operations. An increase in the number of reliable service providers will benefit all our operating affiliates.Players approved by the center can be included in our future calls for tenders and contribute to the emergence of a real alternative offer to current methods and tools.

Thanks to its simpler, more flexible tools, the TEP ASD center offers a less expensive and yet just as accurate accurate data-recording solution. This solution could generate tens of millions of dollars in savings, thereby leading to improved project cost management.
