The Tour de France in Pau with the Total Direct Energie team

The ninth stage of the Tour de France will be covering 153 km between Pau and Laruns, and for the occasion the CSTJF will be sporting the colors of the Total Direct Energie team!

For five seasons now, Total Direct Energie, the 3rd electricity and gas player in France has been the main partner of Jean-René Bernaudeau’s sporting structure.

The values shared by the team and its sponsor are a real driving force, which makes the Bearnese personnel of the CSTJF all the more enthusiastic about supporting the Vendée team!

“In 2020, we are staying true to ourselves and to the values we share with Total Direct Energie: as I say every year, our goal is to practice cycling by the book. By committing to respect the cyclists, families, partners and race organizers, our aim, every day, is to convey an exemplary image of cycling. The Total group also values the importance of professional training, which is something else we have in common,” explains Jean René Bernaudeau, team manager, former professional cyclist and founder of the structure.

Win a professional bike

Tour aficionados were delighted in 2019 to be able to meet the cyclists and their staff at the  gala evening for that stage of the race, but current conditions have hampered the event this year. The employees of the CSTJF/PERL who most regularly make the effort to cycle to their workplace particularly appreciated the invitation.

However, a large photo exhibition on site* puts the cyclists in the spotlight – all elite athletes with courage, tenacity, the desire to defy their limits, and the essential support of a team whose members all work together as one.

A game to predict the results of each stage of the race is also open to the general public, and prizes include a the Total Direct Energie team bike and a behind-the-scenes day with the team on a cycling race in the upcoming season!
